Cuddly toys manufactured to meet the safety standards approved in the UK come with a CE label attached. Despite the introduction of UKCA labels, most of the cuddly toy- Teddy Pals available at Loved Once More have not been affected by this change. The CE label still holds its place as an officially recognised safety mark. Additionally, these labels provide valuable information about the toy's use, including age suitability and other safety considerations. It's important to keep in mind that soft toys lacking a valid CE or UKCA label are not appropriate for children under the age of 14. We strongly advise against acquiring them for households with children younger than that.

The majority of the Teddy Pals that we offer bear CE labels. However, some of these toys were produced before the introduction of these labels and some of the products are handmade. Any Teddy Pals that might pose safety concerns for children are clearly labelled with a warning. This warning is displayed prominently beneath the Teddy Pals photo, with the word "CAUTION" in capital letters, just below its story. In cases where the CE label is damaged or not easily readable, we consider the toy as having no valid label and therefore unsafe for children.

In addition to label checks, during the 'Pamper Parlour' experience we conduct a thorough inspection of each Loved Once More Teddy Pal before it leaves for its new home. Occasionally, we may list a beloved Teddy Pal that is somewhat worn or non-functional in some way. Just like older toys without CE labels, these are not meant for children, but we offer them for rehoming because, as fellow soft toy enthusiasts, we understand their charm to many adults. These toys will only be sold through our website , with clear written warnings to inform buyers about the toy's condition and its unsuitability for children.

No cuddly toy will leave Loved Once More with any visible damage, for example tears, holes or loose parts. Loose materials or parts on a toy can be inhaled or present a choking hazard.

While we cannot give the guarantee that toy coverings will never tear or that parts won't become loose after rehoming, it is recommended to keep an eye on their condition and ascertain whether their use may need to be restricted or more closely supervised in the future. Furthermore, childcare professionals advise that children under 12 months should not sleep with any soft toys in their cot to minimise the risk.
